Tur Dal
Toor Dal · Arhar Dal · Split Pigeon Pea
The crop this district is known for, and the one we have milled the longest. Vidarbha tur arrives at our gate within hours of leaving the field, which is the whole reason the mill sits where it does.
We buy from the mandis around Paratwada and Yavatmal through the arrival season, clean and destone it, split it without shattering the grain, and colour-sort what comes off the line. How hard we sort and how fine we screen is set by what the buyer is packing into — a retail pouch that sits on a shelf under light gets a tighter tolerance than a catering sack.
